Centre 81, a vital hub of activities for adults with physical and other disabilities throughout the borough of Great Yarmouth, have recently received a grant to support the purchase of essential equipment which will further enable their work enriching the lives of their members and community.
With the grant, Studio 81 will be able to acquire equipment to assist with a range of seated sports and leisure activities for those who have not had the opportunity due to disability, age related frailty combined with lack of company or isolation. The grant will also assist the team in providing sporting activities such as indoor bowling, Boccia, games that promote hand and eye coordination, darts and archery.
The Centre 81 team have also extended their wellbeing offering in the form of a Social Club with a focus on reducing loneliness and isolation, increasing social interaction combined with exercise ‘classes’ that are designed for both able and disabled members.
At the Great Yarmouth Sport and Leisure Trust, we are delighted to support Centre 81 and their commitment to creating a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and included, fostering friendships and individuality.
