We’re delighted to share great news for the New Year, that the Great Yarmouth Sport & Leisure Trust have awarded a grant to Martham Cricket Club to help refurbish their cricket nets.
This exciting project is all about improving their facilities and supporting cricket in our local area.
Why the Nets Matter
Cricket nets are such an important part of training at Martham Cricket Club. They give players a safe and focused space to work on their batting, bowling, and fielding skills. Over time, though, the nets have seen a lot of use, and they’re in need of a little TLC. This grant will make sure they’re in tip-top shape for everyone to enjoy.
Better Training for Everyone
With upgraded nets, the club can offer even better practice sessions. Whether it’s experienced players sharpening their skills or younger players just starting out, these improvements will make training more effective and enjoyable for everyone.
Safe CRICKET, Ready for the Future
Safety is so important, and these repairs will ensure the nets are up to standard, giving everyone peace of mind while they play. Plus, by fixing them up now, the club is making sure they’ll last for years to come.
At GYSLT, we’re all about supporting projects that inspire people to get active and try new things. We can’t wait to see how this upgrade helps Martham Cricket Club continue to grow and thrive. Here’s to a bright future for cricket in our community!
